On this tour we'll leave the state of Paraná behind and head to Santa Catarina to visit the most famous cities of the Itajaí Valley: Joinville, Balneario Camboriú and Blumenau.
Joinville, Balneario Camboriú + Blumenau Tour
After picking you up at your hotel in Curitiba at 8 am, we'll head south to enter the state of Santa Catarina. We'll travel by minibus through the Itajaí Valley region until we reach the city of Joinville, a two-hour drive away.
In Joinville we'll visit the Immigrant Museum, where we'll talk about the arrival of Germans, Swiss and Norwegians to this land in the 19th century. We'll also walk along the Alameda Brüstlein, an avenue full of palm trees brought from Rio de Janeiro. Did you know that this street is protected as National Historical Heritage?
We'll continue our tour through the Itajaí Valley heading to Blumenau, the main centre of German colonization. Here we'll see how Germanic architecture is still very present in the city and we'll tell you how this culture is still preserved among the inhabitants of the region. In fact, the largest Oktoberfest in America is held here.
Feeling hungry? We'll go to a restaurant in Blumenau to recharge our batteries with a lunch consisting of a typical German dish. With renewed energy, we'll go to Balneario Camboriú, one of the most famous cities of Santa Catarina.
During the visit to Balneario Camboriú we'll admire its incredible white sandy beaches, see tall skyscrapers, a Ferris wheel that is over 80 meters (262 feet) high. And of course we'll get to see the Christo Luz, a symbol of the city.
We'll finish the excursion at 9:30 pm arriving at your hotel.
