Enjoy a day trip to one of the most beautiful natural coastal areas in Mexico on this excursion to Bahía de Kino and Sonora from Hermosillo.
Bahía de Kino Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Hermosillo at 10 am and set off on a bus ride to the coastal town of Bahía de Kino.
First, we'll venture into the Bosque de Sahuaros, an emblematic ecosystem of the Sonoran Desert. We'll walk among these monumental cacti, some of which are over 200 years old and up to 15 m (49.2 ft) tall. During the walk, we'll learn how the sahuaro acts as an ecological pillar, serving as a refuge for birds, a natural water reservoir, and a spiritual symbol for the indigenous peoples.
Next, we'll go to the Bahía de Kino pier so you can take photos with the traditional colourful sign and capture the best panoramic views of the coast. As well as that, you'll have the option of visiting the Seris Ethnic Museum to learn the most interesting facts about the Conca'ac culture and see some ironwood artefacts that are hundreds of years old. Afterwards, you'll have an hour of free time for lunch at the Mariscos Bahía Restaurant.
Lastly, you'll have an hour of free time to enjoy a dip on the beach. At the end of the trip, we'll return to Hermosillo and drop you off at your hotel by around 8 pm.
