Boat Tour of Ilhabela With Whale Watching
Would you like to see whales in their natural habitat? To do so, we’ll meet at the Floating Pier. From this pier in São Sebastião, we’ll set out on an unforgettable boat tour to try to spot whales off the coast of Ilhabela, one of the most beautiful spots on São Paulo’s northern coast!
The best time to see whales in this part of Brazil is between May and August, when these colossal marine mammals migrate from Antarctica in search of warmer waters to breed.
During our journey along Ilhabela's coast, we’ll sail the island’s shoreline to watch these incredible creatures’ characteristic leaps and movements from the boat. We’ll approach at a safe distance so we can observe them without disturbing their natural habitat.
If conditions are favorable, we may also spot other native animals in the area, such as turtles, dolphins, and even penguins. Get your cameras ready to capture these moments!
Finally, we’ll conclude this 3 to 4-hour activity by returning to the departure pier.
Please Note
Whales are unpredictable animals. The possibility of spotting a greater or smaller number of them depends on different factors such as ocean currents, weather conditions, and wind direction.
