Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Starbucks in Alfonso Reyes, in the Condesa neighbourhood. From there, we'll head to the south of Mexico City for a unique experience of spiritual connection and wellbeing.
Following a pleasant 40-minute trip, we'll arrive at Aldea Tonatzin, the location of our temazcal body and mind purification bath that will allow us to connect with nature. Considered sacred by many indigenous communities, this practice is still used in various parts of Mexico as part of healing rituals.
To begin, we'll walk through the medicinal garden, where we'll connect with nature for about 15 minutes. Then, we'll enter the temazcal hut, a dome-shaped structure that represents the womb of Mother Earth.
Inside this space, we'll find hot volcanic stones that, when sprinkled with water and medicinal herbs, generate a purifying steam. During the ritual, we'll experience how the heat and aromas envelop the senses, releasing tensions, detoxifying your body and connecting you with the essential. Feel free to stay inside the temazcal, though only for a maximum of 45 minutes.
At the end, you'll have about half an hour of free time to relax in the garden and change. When you're ready, we'll return to the meeting point in Colonia Condesa, arriving 3 to 5 hours later.
