At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Mexico City and make our way to Cerro de la Estrella, one of the most famous mountains on the outskirts of the city. Ready for a real adventure? Let's go!
Once we've arrived, we'll begin hiking towards the Fuego Nuevo Museum, where we'll learn all about the relics and archaeological pieces found that have been found on the Cerro de la Estrella. We'll see plaques with the legend of the 5 suns on them, a reproduction of an ancient codex calendar, maps from the 16th century and much more.
Afterwards, we'll make our way to the base of Cerro de la Estrella, from where we'll have some incredible views of the nature which surrounds Mexico City. Photo moment! Finally, the time for adventure will have arrived. We'll get our safety equipment on and with some basic guidelines out of the way, we'll begin abseiling on the mountain. It's over 10 metres high!
As you lower yourself down the rock using the ropes, the sun will begin to set behind us, leaving us with an image in our minds that we'll never forget. In addition, during the descent, you can go at your pace, to enjoy the stunning views.
Once at the bottom, we'll head to a nearby food stall so we can fill our bellies with some delicious tacos. The best reward possible!
Finally, we'll begin our return journey back to the hotels in Mexico City, arriving 4 hours after pickup.
