Have a cultural experience with this Native American show in Page, where we'll see the Navajo dancing and enjoy a traditional dinner.
Activity Details
At the indicated time, the evening will begin once you take your seats in the Red Heritage Theatre and Restaurant. This is a venue owned by the Navajo people of Page, where you'll enjoy an immersive experience where flavour, music and dance are intertwined in a display of living culture.
At this theatre, you'll enjoy a delicious dinner featuring the Navajo taco, a crispy bread with meat, sour cream, avocado, cheese, sweet chilli and lettuce. The sweet touch will be provided by dessert and a soft drink. For the kids, a traditional cheeseburger, fries, chicken strips, dessert and a soft drink will be served. As the flavours melt on your tongue, the light will dim and the show will begin.
On the stage, you'll see the dancers dressed in traditional Navajo costumes full of colour, feathers and bells. Each piece and each step tells a story! The most breathtaking moment will be the hoop dance, when the dancer, using multiple hoops, will represent the connection between the natural elements and the cycles of life.
In short, you'll witness a powwow, or gathering of the native people of North America, where not only impressive skills are shared, but also memory, pride and cultural resilience. At the end of the Navajo dance performance, you'll be able to talk to the dancers and take photographs, taking with you a piece of the living history of this ancestral community.
After 2 hours, the evening will come to an end. Until next time!
