Puerto Vallarta Guided Walking Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas, in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, to begin a guided visit that will connect you like never before with the essence of this fascinating colonial city.
Once introductions are done, we'll set off through the city center and explore Puerto Vallarta's relationship with art. We'll head to Mundo de Azulejos, where we'll watch artisans hand-paint tiles and tableware before they go into the kiln. You'll love these decorative pieces and understand exactly why they've earned worldwide fame.
After this stop, we'll dig deeper into local traditions, this time through food. We'll visit a pulquería, where we'll spend an hour getting to know pulque, an alcoholic drink of pre-Hispanic origin made from the sap of the maguey plant. And of course, we won't leave without trying it alongside a taco.
With that good taste in our mouths, we'll continue on to the Isla del Río Cuale park. In this green oasis, you'll see how perfectly the historic center contrasts with the city's romantic quarter, and we'll share all the secrets of the region's plant and animal life.
After this leafy stroll, we'll stop at the Watakame craft shop, the ideal place to pick up a typical Puerto Vallarta souvenir. We'll then keep exploring local history at one of the city's most emblematic monuments: the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Finally, we'll walk to the Faro de Matamoros, where we'll watch the sun set over the bay of Puerto Vallarta.
With that magical scene in front of us, we'll say our goodbyes and wrap up the tour 3 hours later.
