At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Rio to begin this fantastic day trip to Ilha Grande, an island famous for its pristine beaches and lush Atlantic Forest.
We'll travel about 140 km (86 mi) to the district of Conceição de Jacareí. Once there, we'll get out of the vehicle and walk to the Conceição pier, where we'll board the boat that will take us to our destination. All aboard!
The first stop on our boat trip around Ilha Grande will be at the Blue Lagoon, where you'll have 50 minutes to enjoy its crystal-clear, shallow waters. If you feel like it, this is the ideal place for snorkelling.
Afterwards, we'll take you to two of the most idyllic spots on the island: Freguesia de Santana beach and Ballena beach. At both beaches, you'll have 30 minutes free time to jump into the water and feel like a fish in the sea.
After this refreshing dip, we'll head to Japariz Beach, where we'll disembark and go to a restaurant. There, we'll refuel with a delicious buffet lunch that includes typical Brazilian dishes. Bon appétit!
An hour later, we'll return to the boat to begin our journey back. Finally, we'll say goodbye at the starting point after a total of 10 hours.
Please note that this activity includes pickup from hotels in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro and, depending on availability, from the city centre. If you're staying in Barra da Tijuca, you'll be required to pay a supplement of 40BRL per person.
