The Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, popularly known as Maracanã, is Brazil’s largest stadium and, for a long time, it was the largest in the world, with a capacity of more than 78,000 people. Following the stadium’s guidance and information panels, you’ll begin by learning about the evolution of this venue, built for the 1950 World Cup and modernized for 2014. You’ll explore the Maracanã Museum, whose exhibition brings together key pieces from the history of Brazilian soccer, collectible items, and memorabilia from great idols.
