Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro and set off for the neighboring city of Niterói. Everyone ready?
During the journey, we’ll pass through Guanabara Bay and cross the impressive Rio-Niterói Bridge. Along the way, you’ll enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro, including parts of its mountains and historic buildings.
Once at our destination, we’ll follow the Niemeyer Route. This is a tour of a group of buildings designed by the prestigious Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, created as part of an urban and artistic revitalization project for the city.
Throughout the tour, we’ll admire landmarks such as the Teatro Popular, the Oscar Niemeyer Foundation, the Roberto Silveira Memorial, Praça JK, and the modern Petrobras Brazilian Cinema Center. At each stop, you’ll learn about different aspects of the city’s architectural history.
We’ll wrap up the tour at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Considered one of Niemeyer’s masterpieces, this building will impress you with its futuristic, circular design, giving the impression that it’s floating above the Boa Viagem viewpoint. From here, you’ll also enjoy stunning views of Rio de Janeiro’s skyline.
Finally, we’ll return to the starting point, where the tour will end after a total of 5 hours.
