On our tour of the San Cristóbal Island Highlands, you'll walk along the Cerro Tijeretas, go snorkelling at Playa Lobería, and see the Galápagos Islands' famous tortoises in the Playa Punta Carola.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to San Cristóbal Island's highlands.
Our first stop will be at the primera parada tendrá lugar en un Centro de Interpretación, where you'll discover the history of the islands. You'll learn about its natural context, the arrival of man, and the current preservation efforts to protect this unique ecosystem in the world.
Then, we'll go on a walk to observe the coastal relief on the island in the Cerro Tijeretas. From its viewpoints, you'll admire the flight of the frigatebirds and other sea birds. Then, we'll dive into the water to snorkel among sea lions and tropical fish.
Afterward, we'll reach Playa Punta Carola, a white sand beach, where you can relax and continue exploring the seabed. It's the typical habitat of marine iguanas and turtles that swim near the shore.
Lastly, we'll stop at Playa Lobería. Here, you'll enjoy one last snorkel with the playful seal lions, turtles, and the colorful red rock crab that decorate the volcanic rocks.
After ending this activity, we'll start our journey back to the starting point, where we'll finally say our goodbyes after a total of 6 hours.
