Santa Maria del Oro & Lagoon Day Trip
Day Trip Details
We'll meet at the scheduled time at the Fray Junipero Serra Hotel in Tepic, where our bus will be waiting to transport us to the delightful town of Santa Maria del Oro. Get ready to travel into the past, back to colonial times!
Upon reaching our destination, we'll start with a short guided tour of Santa María del Oro. We'll discover the town's main monuments, among which the parish of the Señora de la Ascensión and the lagoon's viewpoint stand out.
Then, we'll descend to the impressive Santa María del Oro lagoon, an imposing body of water that covers 1.24 mi (2 km) in diameter. Ready to see its spectacular views?
During the descent through the mountain, you'll see beautiful natural landscapes to take endless pictures. Afterward, you'll have free time in the lagoon, where you can enjoy activities such as kayaking, paddle surfing, or a speedboat ride. Take a refreshing dip!
Next, we'll regroup to enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant. The menu includes a main dish to choose between seafood, chicken, beef, or salad. It also includes a drink to choose from: mineral water, a soft drink, or juice.
After lunch, we'll return to the meeting point in Tepic, where we'll conclude this 8-hour trip.
