Discover the history and nature of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and Serranía de Hornocal on this excursion from Tilcara.
Humahuaca & Serranía de Hornocal Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tilcara at 11:30 am, ready to set off by bus through the rugged landscapes of northern Argentina in the direction of Humahuaca.
The first stop on our tour will be next to the Paleta del Pintor, or the "Painter's Palette", a fascinatingly colourful mountain formed over 500 million years.
Continuing onwards, we'll delve into the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a narrow valley considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its spectacular natural rock formations.
Arriving in the town of Humahuaca, you'll have 30 minutes of free time to buy lunch. Then, after eating, we'll meet back up to swap our bus for an all-terrain 4x4 to tour the famous Serranía de Hornocal.
After exploring the mountain range by 4x4, we'll return to Tilcara and you'll be dropped off at your hotel around 3:30 pm.
