Tour Details
Do you fancy taking a relaxing boat ride along the Madeira River? Then, we'll meet at the Porto Velho Waterway Terminal and, after a brief introduction, we'll board the boat that will take us along one of the most important rivers in the Brazilian Amazon. It has even been declared Cultural Heritage!
We'll set sail along the city of Porto Velho, and soon we'll see the iconic Rondón-Roosevelt Bridge, which connects the states of Rondônia and Amazonas. During the cruise, we'll have background music that will create a magical atmosphere.
Our tour will continue to the vicinity of the Santo Antônio hydroelectric dam. There, we'll appreciate the contrast between the river that feeds the dam and the remains of the old waterfalls.
As we sail, we'll tell you about the beginnings of Porto Velho and its development thanks to this river artery. Did you know that it was thanks to the Madeira River that the Madeira-Mamoré railway was built? While we immerse ourselves in its past, you'll have the opportunity to taste regional dishes and drinks on your own in the boat's restaurant.
Finally, after an hour cruise, we'll return to the departure point and end the experience.
